Police on the hunt for the 'Backpack Bandit'

This is a press release courtesy of the Vancouver Police Department On July 22, 2008, the Bank of America branch at 805 Broadway Street was robbed by a male suspect that detectives believe is also responsible for a robbery at that same branch on August 20, 2007. The suspect, dubbed the "Backpack Bandit," presents a demand note to the teller. No weapon is displayed. In the August 2007 robbery the suspect wore a Boston Red Sox baseball cap and in the July 2008 robbery the suspect wore a "Rocawear" logo baseball cap. The suspect also wears a backpack in each robbery. There is no associated suspect vehicle. The suspect is a white male 25-27 years of age, 5'6"-5'8", medium build, brown hair.
