One killed, one seriously injured when motorcycles collide with semi in Salem

PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) - One motorcyclist died and a second was seriously injured when their bikes collided with a semi-truck in Salem.

The Marion County Sheriff's Office says 41-year-old Cristen Odell of Gervais died at the scene of Wednesday's crash and 53-year-old Kevin Murray of Scio was flown to a Corvallis hospital.

The truck driver was not hurt.

Investigators are trying to determine the cause of the crash on Howell Prairie Road.
