Shots fired near football game at Madison High School
PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) - The authorities say teenagers scattered after several shots were fired outside a football game at Madison High School.
The Portland Police Bureau says officers arrived at the game Friday night to provide additional patrols. An officer spotted a group of teenagers hiding in some bushes, and one of them had a gun.
Officers were confiscating the gun and detaining about six teenagers when a much larger group left the game.
One or two people from that group fired several shots. Teens scattered as additional officers arrived to look for suspects or victims. None had been found as of 9:30 p.m.
