Coast Guard rescues surfer off Lincoln City

PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) - The U.S. Coast Guard airlifted a surfer who was stranded off the Oregon coast Monday.

The call to the Coast Guard reported that two surfers were stranded near Lincoln City, but one made it back to shore on his own.

The rescue helicopter hoisted the stranded surfer back to the beach.

There were no injuries.
