FBI probes vandalism at Obama office in Ore.

PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) - The FBI says it is investigating an act of vandalism that occurred at a Barack Obama campaign office in Gresham.
According to authorities, campaign staff members discovered a swastika and racial epithet drawn on the office window Sept. 17 where an Obama poster appeared. The FBI is also investigating another incident on a university campus outside Portland, where a cardboard cutout of Obama was found hanging from a tree. The commercially produced image of the Illinois senator was discovered last Tuesday on the Newberg campus of George Fox University. The FBI is looking into any possible civil rights violations. FBI spokeswoman Beth Anne Steele wouldn't speculate as to whether the two incidents are related. |
