Seven people rescued after bridge washes out
By KATU Web StaffTILLAMOOK COUNTY - Seven people were rescued, including two infants, after the Fawcett Creek Bridge, located south of Tillamook, washed out and sent at least two vehicles downstream. The bridge is located on South Prairie Road, not too far from Highway 101. A woman and two infants were spotted on top of one vehicle. The babies were taken to the hospital with symptoms of hypothermia. Four people in another vehicle were taken to the hospital as well to be checked out. Tillamook County rescuers continued searching late into the night to see if anyone else was in trouble. |
