Work crews stumble upon human remains

The Lane County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an incident of human remains found in a remote area of Mt. Pisgah. 

The remains have not been identified and the cause and manner of death has not been determined. 

Sheriff’s deputies, assisted by the Medical Examiner’s office, are continuing the investigation.  

The remains were located by work crews working in the area who reported the discovery to the sheriff’s office.
