ABERDEEN, Wash. (AP) - A 41-year-old Aberdeen man who was beaten and set on fire last week has died of his wounds.

Grays Harbor County Undersheriff Rick Scott says Marlon Lee died Monday night at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.

He was found along a road Nov. 18 by a man driving to work and dropped off at Grays Harbor Community Hospital in Aberdeen. The Good Samaritan driver didn't realize the extent of Lee's injuries. He was transferred to the Seattle hospital and never regained consciousness.

Thursday, sheriff's deputies in Grays Harbor County arrested a man described as the main suspect in the beating. According a statement issued Friday by the U.S. Marshals Service, Roderick Terry Reed 3rd was picked up Thursday afternoon as part of a roundup of fugitives in Southwest Washington.

The federal agency says Grays Harbor sheriff's deputies and a federal fugitive task force arrested Reed at an address in Aberdeen. Reed was wanted for an outstanding assault charge.

The Marshals Service says the 31-year-old Reed and another person beat and set fire to Marlon Lee late on Nov. 17.

Detectives said Lee left his house with two women around 9 p.m. that night and went to the Quinault Shores Casino, but have not said what happened between then and the beating.
