CLARK COUNTY, Wash. - Authorities have linked three teen boys to a string of tire slashings in Clark County over the weekend.

Clark County Sheriff's Deputy Linda Hayes used tips called into investigators to track down the teens, who were arrested Monday and booked into the Clark County Juvenile Detention Center on misdemeanor and felony malicious mischief charges, according to the Clark County Sheriff's Office.

A knife believed to have been used to slash the tires was also recovered from the home of one of the suspects, the sheriff's office said.

Due to their age, the sheriff's office did not release their names. Instead, they were only identified as two Gaiser Middle School students, ages 14 and 13, and a Hudsons Bay High School student, age 14.

Authorities believe they are responsible for slashing the tires on about 35 vehicles in the St. Johns area of Clark County. More cases were reported within Vancouver, Wash., city limits.
