Heavyset man shimmies shirtless near school
By KVAL Web StaffEUGENE, Ore. -- A teacher's aide blew a whistle and cleared the playground after seeing a heavyset man shimmy shirtless in the school parking lot and start acting like he was going to remove his pants about 100 feet from where kindergarten students were on recess Friday afternoon. None of the students saw the man thanks to the aide's decision to blow her whistle and clear the playground. Stella Dadson, principal at Willagillespie Elementary School, said the aide did everything right by getting students inside right away and calling police. The school sent a letter home with parents notifying them about what happened. Eugene police searched the area. However, no crime was committed because the man still had pants on and the incident wouldn't rise to the level of indecent exposure, according to police. The suspect was about 6-foot to 6-foot-2 between 30 and 35 years old weighing over 270 pounds with short brown hair, a red t-shirt and jeans. |
