At about 11:15 p.m. on Wednesday August 30, an 18-year-old female was stopped in her vehicle by an unknown male suspect impersonating a police officer.

The suspect forced the stop by flashing his headlights and using his vehicle to force the victim to the side of the road.

The suspect had the victim perform field sobriety tests and appeared to have a handheld radio.

During the stop, the suspect handcuffed the victim and searched her vehicle.

The suspect then fled the area in his vehicle, which is described as an early 1980's red Ford Bronco.

The suspect was seen by independent witnesses during the stop.

The suspect is described as a white male, approx 23 to 30 years old, around 6 feet tall, thin build, with dark shaved or short hair.

He was last seen wearing a dark blue shirt that said "Under Cover Police" on it in white or yellow letters, cargo shorts, and hiking boots with tube socks.

Anyone with further information is encouraged to call the Canby Police Department at (503) 266-1104.
