PORTLAND, Ore. - Another short-lived layer of white may blanket may blanket the Portland area Tuesday morning, according to KATU Meteorologist Rhonda Shelby. Weather Monday is expected to be clear and cold.
Cold air over the area will meet incoming moisture coming off the ocean early Tuesday morning, possibly dropping up to an inch of snow on city streets.
Then, temperatures will warm well above freezing a few hours later, melting the snow in much the same way it came and went on Sunday. However, roads could be slick due to snow.
Upper elevation locations can expect the snow to hang around a little longer, but eventually it should melt away. Clear and cool weather returns on Wednesday.
Local school districts have not said what their plans are for Tuesday morning if the snow arrives as expected. You can get all the latest closure and school delay information here on KATU.com.
