Down on your luck? Jeweler says come on down for free bling

PORTLAND, Ore. - A local jeweler is implementing her own version of a stimulus plan by giving away free jewelry to those in dire financial straits.

Patti Hoag of Lake Oswego Jewelers heard about the idea of a giveaway from other national jewelers and decided she had to do it too.

The jewelry being given away is worth anywhere from $30 to $100 for each piece. The only qualification is that you are down on your luck and can prove it.
