Ticket buyers push 'Hannah Montana' bill

Miley Cyrus

SALEM, Ore. – Oregon lawmakers are working on the so-called "Hannah Montana" bill.

The proposed legislation could change how concert and other event tickets are sold in Oregon.

The bill stems from the recent Hannah Montana concert in Portland. "Hannah Montana" is the Disney TV and movie alter-ego of teen pop sensation Miley Cyrus.

Fans were angry at the marked-up prices for tickets available in Portland because scalpers secured the bulk of the tickets just as they went on sale.

Among other things, the new law would require ticket sellers and scalpers to list how exactly many tickets they have for sale.
