PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) - Clackamas County authorities say the man shot as deputies tried to arrest him on charges related to a marijuana growing operation was a 68-year-old who pointed a firearm at two deputies.

The sheriff's office identified him Saturday as Hubert Henkel - who was sought along with 80-year-old Marjorie Crawford.

The sheriff's office says the deputies were serving arrest warrants at a rural home at 13262 S. Macksburg Road Wednesday night when Henkel came to the door "armed with a firearm, noncompliant and pointing his firearm in a threatening fashion" at the deputies.

The deputies were identified as Brian Lister and Jesse Ashby, both on administrative leave while an investigation is under way.

Crawford was arraigned Thursday and released.
