Discovery of more remains widens investigation
PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) - More human remains were found along the Columbia River Wednesday.

Investigators are trying to determine whether the remains found near Wintler Community Park on the Washington state side of the river were connected with remains found last Sunday near the Interstate 205 bridge, upstream from the park.

Police in Vancouver did not provide any details about the remains found on the Washington side of the Columbia.

A woman who says she found the new set of remains while walking her dog Wednesday says she found a severed human arm.

Police say the remains recovered Sunday are those of a white man who weighed about 280 pounds.

Investigators say he had been dead about three or four weeks. They are trying to determine if the two finds are related.
