Milwaukie teacher faces more sex abuse charges

MILWAUKIE, Ore. – There were more charges for a Milwaukie High School teacher accused of having sex with a student.
    
Christopher Klitgord now faces six counts of sex abuse and one count of tampering with a witness. He pleaded not guilty to all charges on Thursday.
    
Prosecutors believe he had sex with the same female student on six occasions and then tried to get her to lie about it.
    
Administrators in the Milwaukie school district placed Klitgord on leave.

The sex abuse charges do not mean the sex was forced but that the student was too young to legally consent to sex.
