Suspect seen on "Most Wanted" captured in Medford
MEDFORD, Ore. (AP) - He was profiled on "America's Most Wanted" on TV last month.
And now he's been arrested in Oregon.
A Texas man charged with more than 500 sex acts with a child was arrested by federal marshals last week at a Medford-area motel.
John Clarence Farris failed to appear for a plea hearing in Guadalupe County, Texas, on charges of aggravated sexual assault of a child that could send him to prison for 99 years.
Now, he also faces federal charges of unlawful flight to avoid prosecution.
A tip that Farris was living as a panhandler on the streets in the Medford area led to the arrest. He's awaiting hearings on extradition to Texas.
