Crews test one of the new tram cars
PORTLAND, Ore. - The new aerial tram got put to the test today as one of the cars, still in its protective wrap, made its way from the South Waterfront area to OHSU.
A maintenance crew was on the tram checking out the track rope and the carrier, which supports the rope. Jet Ranger 2 flew overhead, capturing images of the workers, who rode on top of the car.
The city's project manager said everything went smoothly. A public grand opening is set for January.
