Two Battle Ground highways are being renamed

The Washington state Transportation Committee passed a resolution to rename State Routes 502 and 503.  SR 502 will be called 'Battle Ground Highway' and SR 503 will be called 'Lewisville Highway' (because it goes past Lewisville Park north of Battle Ground).

BATTLE GROUND, Wash. - The highways that form the crossroads in the middle of the town of Battle Ground are getting new names.

The Washington state Transportation Committee passed a resolution to rename State Routes 502 and 503.  SR 502 will be called 'Battle Ground Highway' and SR 503 will be called 'Lewisville Highway' (because it goes past Lewisville Park north of Battle Ground).

The name change is just for regional recognition and will not affect street names or mailing addresses.
