The town of 10,000 also received rain, which made for slick roads. At least eight accidents were reported. Several victims were flown to regional hospitals. Fire Chief Jim Price says the roads had been dry, and thunderstorms brought oil to the surface. Police Chief Wyn Lohner said one man was arrested Saturday night on a drunken driving charge when he tried to pull his motorcycle from a line of them downtown and crashed into three others. While officers were arresting him, the chief says, a teenager tried to sneak off with the cycle. He was charged with unlawful use of a motorcycle and tampering with evidence.
