On Monday 06-01-09 at approximately 10:50 am, a white male subject walked into the Old Navy store, located in the Tanger Outlet Mall in Lincoln City, showed a weapon and forced the assistant manager to the office. There the suspect forced the employee to open the safe and give him an undisclosed amount of money. Prior to leaving the store, the suspect bound the employee's hands.

Officers from the Lincoln City Police responded and with the assistance of the Lincoln County Sheriff's Department, they immediately began searching the area for the suspect, but were unable to locate him.

The suspect is described as a clean shaven white male in his late 40's to early 50's, 5'7" to 5'10" and weighing 180-190 pounds. He was wearing light colored Khaki pants, a blue or black polo shirt and a light colored baseball cap. The man also had a blue clipboard that hinged open to access a storage space.
