LONGVIEW, Wash. – Firefighters kept a vigil Tuesday morning on a 3-alarm blaze that burned overnight at a Longview tire storage facility.
Over 70 firefighters converged on the fire after midnight Monday as flames reportedly shot up to 100 feet into the night sky.
Firefighters were still on the scene Tuesday morning putting down flare-ups and hot spots at the facility located in the 1300 block of Baltimore Avenue.
A cause and damage estimate was not immediately available.
Firefighters said they think the cause of the blaze could be accidental since the facility was surrounded by a tall security fence they had to cut through to battle the fire.
No injuries were reported.
