Father, son found dead with 'traumatic injuries' in McMinnville
By KATU.com Staff & News ServicesMCMINNVILLE, Ore. - Police were investigating the deaths of a father and son whose bodies were found at a McMinnville home Saturday morning. Police identified the deceased as 58-year-old Thomas D. Marshall and his son, 22-year-old Sean T. Marshall. Capt. Dennis Marks said at least one died of gunshot wounds. An autopsy is scheduled for Monday. Someone reported finding the bodies of the father and son at a home at 915 S.W. Cozine Lane No. 16 about 10:30 a.m., police said. When officers arrived, they found the pair with "obvious traumatic injuries," police said. Police released few details in the case, saying the investigation was in the preliminary stages. They were trying to determine whether both were murdered or one killed the other and then himself. Sean Marshall was a 2005 McMinnville High School graduate and avid skateboarder and musician. His father would have turned 59 Monday. It was not immediately known whether one or both lived in the apartment.
