Police: Son popped dad in head with crowbar

MCMINNVILLE, Ore. (AP) — A Wasco County man has been charged with assaulting his father at a McMinnville motel.

McMinnville police say 21-year-old Justin Patrick Lane of The Dalles struck his father with a crow bar during an argument early Friday. The blow caused a large gash on the head of the 55-year-old man, who was treated at a local hospital and released.

Lane was lodged in the Yamhill County Jail pending arraignment.
