BEAVERTON, Ore. – Police say a Beaverton man who dated and then allegedly sexually assaulted women he had met through Craigslist would call victims the next day to see if they wanted to go on another date.

Investigators said Sean Crawford, 35, would call victims and tell them he “had a good time” and ask to see them again.

Last week, a Washington County grand jury indicted Crawford on a number of rape, sodomy and unlawful sexual penetration charges.

Beaverton police said they know of two victims, but investigators think there could be others. They said Crawford acted "very nice" before, during and after the dates. The assaults typically took place on the first date, police said.

"It does strike as a little bit odd,” Sgt. James Shumway said of the calls to the victims, “but maybe he's trying to gauge what their response is to what took place the day before."

Beaverton police are asking anyone who has had contact with Crawford to contact them as soon as possible.
