Son of missing Alzheimer’s patient sues care facility

MOLALLA, Ore. – The son of a Molalla Alzheimer’s patient who disappeared is suing her assisted care facility for $2 million, saying the facility’s staff was negligent.

Ruby Larson wandered away from the Pheasant Pointe Retirement and Assisted Living Facility in July 2007. A judge declared her dead last year.

Her son said his mother wandered off three times before and the facility had done nothing to prevent it from happening again.
