Four injured in Woodland pursuit

WOODLAND, Wash. – Four people were injured, one of them critically, after a police chase ended in a crash in Woodland Tuesday morning.

According to police, Alexander Lopez, 34, a transient from Vancouver, jumped into a stolen Acura and sped off with three people inside, eventually rolling the vehicle times.

Three occupants, including Lopez, were treated for minor injuries and released from the hospital. One of them, 21-year-old Tracy Rebecca Williams of Kalama, was arrested on a warrant out of Cowlitz County for heroin possession.  Police said she may face other charges as well.

A fourth person remains in the hospital in critical condition.

Lopez was arrested on charges of first-degree possession of stolen property, felony eluding, vehicular assault (two counts), reckless driving and DUI.  His bail was set at $75,000.
