Oklahoma family loses all in move to Oregon
CLACKAMAS, Ore. - A family looking to make a fresh start in Clackamas was dealt a huge setback Thursday when they awoke to find someone had stolen the 17-foot U-Haul van holding all their worldly possessions.

The van was found late Thursday night in Damascus but it was completely empty.

Rachel Bennett and her boyfriend were moving from Oklahoma to Clackamas after finding work in Oregon. They had lost their jobs in Oklahoma.

Rachel says they moved to Oregon to make a fresh start and get their kids into good schools.

While they are devastated by the loss of their possessions, Bennett says they are grateful to the outpouring of support from Oregonians, most all of them total strangers.

Clackamas County Sheriff's deputies say they are asking the public for help in finding any of the stolen items, especially any personal effects.

The parking lot of the Days Inn motel where the van was stolen was not monitored by security cameras.
