$5K reward to catch bank robber who escaped from jail

MEDFORD, Ore. (AP) — The Jackson County Sheriff's Department is offering a $5,000 reward to help find a bank robber who escaped from jail last week.

Authorities are searching for 42-year-old Bradley William Monical, who was awaiting trial in March for a 2010 bank robbery in Ashland. Investigators say he stood on another inmate's shoulders, removed a piece of metal mesh from the roof covering, and jumped into the nearby tree.

The Mail-Tribune says deputies and search and rescue volunteers have been on the hunt for Monical every day since his brazen escape Nov. 19.

The tree Monical jumped into has been cut down, along with several others nearby. The roof cover, atop a recreation area, is being replaced with a stronger material.

I hope he is apprehended soon.Â There is no mention in the article as to what additional punishment he or his partner in crime faces for the escape and assistance in escape respectively.

I am impressed with the escape. Most of the time these dim bulbs can't think past a few minutes.

Oh wait, he didn't past a few minutes. He forget about the charges for escape. Or maybe he knows that any more crimes will be served concurrently so there really isn't anymore punishment they can give him.

Look in the woods or mountains, that is where you probably will find this guy hiding, he may not be stupid enough to stay in town. Some bad guys do have brains and it could be years before there caught .
