Police will continue to care for seized rabbits
HILLSBORO, Ore. - Hillsboro police will continue to care for more than 100 seized rabbits, despite a state Supreme Court ruling.
The rabbits were seized last fall from Miriam Sakewitz's home. She went to court to make sure police do not adopt them out until her case is resolved.
The Oregon Supreme Court ruled Wednesday that the rabbits can be given to a third party, like the Humane Society, but there are too many to give to one organization, so police will continue to hold on to them.
