PORTLAND, Ore. - Reed College’s president and the student editors of a campus humor newspaper are apologizing for one of its articles.

The satirical article in "The Pamphlette" newspaper accused students at Lewis and Clark college of rounding up and killing Jews.

Swastika graffiti had been found on the Lewis and Clark campus a few weeks ago.

One of The Pamphlette's editors told the Oregonian newspaper that the fake article was in response to a criticism of a previous item it ran spoofing Anne Frank's diary.

Anne Frank died as a teenager during the Holocaust along with most members of her family, who were in hiding from the Nazi occupation.
