PORTLAND, Ore. - It's bon voyage to an annual weekend tradition for bargain hunters and do-gooders around the Portland area. The very last Catlin Gabel Rummage Sale is being held this weekend at the Portland Expo Center.

The Southwest Portland private school has hosted the sale for the past 65 years to raise money for its financial-aid program. A school official told KATU that the sale was being disbanded because more people now turn to eBay and Craigslist for second-hand goods instead of coming to its sale.

The final Catlin Gabel sale runs until 8 p.m. Saturday night and from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday. It is free to get in, though there is a charge for Expo Center parking. Parking and mass transit details.
