OSP seeks witnesses to fatal crash on icy road

Oregon State Police (OSP) troopers from the Klamath Falls Area Command office are continuing the investigation into Thursday afternoon's two-vehicle fatal traffic crash on Highway 97 about 32 miles north of Klamath Falls. 

The crash resulted in the death of an Ashland woman and investigators are asking for contact from any witnesses.

According to OSP Sergeant Robert Fenner, on November 12, 2009 at approximately 3:16 p.m. the fatal traffic crash occurred on Highway 97 near milepost 240 when a 2002 Chevrolet Avalanche driven by Katrin Mosby, age 38, from Ashland, was northbound on Highway 97 near milepost 240. 

The Chevrolet collided into the right rear section of a southbound semi-trailer pulled by a commercial truck driven by Rashpal Kang, age not available, from Abottsford, British Columbia.  Roadway conditions were described as icy at the time of the crash.

Mosby was pronounced deceased at the scene.

King was not injured.

Both were using safety restraints.
