PORTLAND, Ore. – Friday was considered the last day for voters to mail their vote for Oregon's Jan. 26 Special Election. Only four days remain in the state's vote-by-mail election period.
In Washington County, elections officials report 106,458 ballots have been mailed in as of Saturday. That represents votes from 40.2 percent of the registered voters in Washington County. Still, officials "are encouraging voters to drop ballots off as soon as possible for the current special election so that all ballots are processed in a timely manner," according to a press release distributed Saturday.
Ballots statewide must be completed, signed and received by 8 p.m. on Tuesday to be counted. Those who missed the mail date can drop off filled-in ballots at these official drop-off points throughout the region:
