PORTLAND, Ore. – If you've been around Portland awhile you may remember seeing Barbara Angell on television. She died Sunday from bone cancer.

Angell is Portland's first television personality. She put her Oregon State University home economics degree to use hosting the "What's Cooking?" show back in the 1950s. Angell also made guest appearances on every station in town, including this one.

Barbara Angell was 89 years old. Memorial services will be held at St. James Episcopal Church in Tigard on Feb. 6.
