Man nets 21 years for raping wife
KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. (AP) - A Klamath Falls man has been sentenced to 21 years in prison for raping his wife in front of their 3-year-old daughter. Twenty-three-year-old Jaime Cardenas Pena was sentenced Thursday in Klamath County Circuit Court. Authorities told the Herald and News newspaper that Pena came home drunk in July 2009 and his wife refused to have sex with him. While he was assaulting his wife, the little girl came into the room crying and asking her father to stop hurting her mommy. Judge Marci Adkisson called the case appalling. The district attorney's office asked for a longer prison term due to Pena's earlier conviction for assaulting his wife. --- Information from: Herald and News,
