America's Most Wanted comes to town, will feature Kyron again

PORTLAND, Ore. - Kyron Horman's face will once again be shown on national television.
America's Most Wanted was in town for a few days this week doing some shooting for an upcoming feature on the boy's disappearance.
Crews arrived on Monday and left Wednesday after filming at several locations, including the Multnomah County Sheriff's Office. The episode will air sometime next month.
Kyron Horman was last seen at Skyline Elementary School on June 4, 2010. He was at a pre-class science fair, where he was photographed, but then he disappeared.
Since then, a large-scale investigation and numerous searches have turned up very little.
The Kyron Horman case has appeared on America's Most Wanted in the past, back when he first went missing. His picture and details on the disappearance are also still on the television show's website, since the case has not been solved.
The boy's stepmother, Terri Horman, was the last person to see him and although she has not been named a person of interest or a suspect, she has been the focus of the investigation.
Kyron's biological mother, Desiree Young, filed a civil case against Terri Horman that accuses her of kidnapping Kyron and intentionally interfering with Young's parental rights.
Last week, a judge in the civil case issued an opinion in which he called Terri Horman a "prime suspect" in the boy's disappearance.
The reason to go national is that they are still looking for 2 things. Her accomplice and Kyron's presumed remains, prior to filing criminal charges. Assassins like to brag about what they did otherwise they have no feeling of accomplishment.
Why would this go national if the "prime "suspect is here in Oregon??? No reason to look anywhere else is there??? At least that is what most of the people in this state think( including a judge , even though there has beeen no evidence presented that is actionalble).
@Civ Because maybe the prime suspect gave the child away to someone who left the state with him. If it was your kid missing would you want them to say "well our prime suspect is in oregon so we shouldn't consider looking anywhere else and we shouldn't consider that maybe the suspect had others helping her".
Great travesty to AMW that the networks cancelled the show. No cable TV at my house to see it anymore.
I've always thought this case didn't get enough national attention. It was in the news for a while, but then all of the coverage pretty much stopped. If you aren't local to the area where Kyron disappeared or haven't taken a personal interest in the case, you don't hear anything about it anymore, so this is a great way to get his face out there again. I have my theories as to who is responsible for Kyron going missing, but I don't know any more than the next person what she could have done with him; it's possible that he's living somewhere and maybe this coverage will get him recognized and brought home...
 It pretty much seems there is only one person who didn't love Kyron... and we all know who that is. WHY did her phone ping at Sauvie Island?? I hope we'll get to find out during the civil lawsuit. Answer the questions... Red squirrel !
 @Philip MarloweÂ
Well if she has a Sprint Nextel phone the coverage indicates that if she is on the north side of the west hills that tower is likely to be the connection. There is a North Portland tower, but that one is a little south.
Â
Other CDMA devices (Verizon) have a tower on the north part of that hill east but if that tower was down for some reason it would still ping to Sauvie Island.

Â
Zoom in to the area of NW Portland near Forest Park (near where Kyron used to live and his school is) and you can see a pretty bare patch without towers.
Â
Not that I am saying it's not suspicious, but it can be explained. Maybe if she did more explaining and less hiding people would view her with less suspicion. Or at the very least her supporters would have more ammo to defend her.
This article strikes me as being a little biased.
@UtterReality Biased ? The facts are out there and the judge did call her a suspect (finally someone has some balls to do that) Not biased...just the facts,just the facts
It's my holiday wish that little Kyron can trick-or-treat with his friends, gather for Thanksgiving with his mom or dad, or open presents under his family's Christmas tree. And by the New Year, the evil person or persons who took him are behind bars.
 @Chase Beautiful thoughts of Kyron coming home. I hope he's back soon as well.
John Walsh's son was about the same age as Kyron when he was abducted and killed by a pedophilic stranger. I'm sure he can relate to what the Horman family -- the whole family -- is going through. Thankfully he didn't have to wait as long to know what happened, even if justice was never served.
"John Walsh's son was about the same age as Kyron when he was abducted and killed by a pedophilic stranger"
Â
But so many say in this case it was not a stranger! That is was family that made him disappear?
Â
@Just Lookin
exactly it is even more confusing when it is a person you know
@badcat Yes, Unfortunately they think they found the perp who killed his son but he died in prison and it never made it to trial so resolution wasn't achieved totally plus his son wasn't found in his "entirety"
