Armed robber hits Salem hotel

SALEM, Ore. - Police are on the lookout for an armed robber who held up a Salem hotel.

The crime happened around 8:10 p.m. Wednesday at the Shiloh Inn at 3304 Market Street N.E.

According to police, a man brandished a handgun and demanded money from the desk clerk. He got his hands on an undisclosed amount of cash and fled on foot.

Police officers, including a K-9, scoured the area looking for the suspect but were unable to find him.
