Arrest made in shooting outside Plaid Pantry

PORTLAND, Ore. - A young man has been arrested in connection with a shooting in the parking lot of a Plaid Pantry store.
Shots were fired around 4:15 p.m. on Sept. 16. outside the Plaid Pantry at 8110 N.E. Fremont Street.
When police arrived, they learned that two groups were in the parking lot and that at some point, shots had been fired. No one was hurt, but bullets did end up hitting the Plaid Pantry store.
On Dec. 16, someone called 9-1-1 from a hotel in the 400 block of Northeast Wasco Street but hung up. Police ended up arresting 18-year-old Fernando Rojas-Salazar in connection with that call (no further details were released). Investigators also believed he was involved in the shooting outside the Plaid Pantry.
Rojas-Salazar is now facing charges of fourth-degree assault (domestic violence) and attempted murder.
these hate crimes by illegles must stop! i hope all the availavble counselors are not in conneticut so the plain pantry force can get needed counseling
My guess is their American citizens, brought into this country by Mitt Romney's group.
I always say "If a person feels they are already breaking the law in a big way (illegal immigrant), they have no more reason to be lawful."
@archon312 please show me where it says he's an illegal immigrant. Oh wait, your one of those people that believes that all Hispanic people are illegals, aren't you?
@Ramsesthegreat The media doesn't give out that kind of information in general. Why? Because they prefer to protect illegals just like the government. Even if he was illegal, the article sure as shootin wouldn't tell us that.
@Ramsesthegreat You must be one of those people who does nothing other than read the story and doesn't actually check other sources. Hows those rose colored glasses working out for you?
@archon312 What makes you think being an illegal immigrant is breaking the law "in a big way"? Is it because our borders are protected we come down so hard on illegal immigrants in this country?
@Portlander29 "What makes you think being an illegal immigrant is breaking the law "in a big way"? Is it because our borders are protected we come down so hard on illegal immigrants in this country?"
Â
Maybe because it's a federal crime? Just because the current political idiots for the past 3 administrations have ignored the problem in lieu of votes doesn't make it any less a crime. ffs. Are you really that obtuse?
@Peregrine @Portlander29 No, but you obviously are. I was making a sarcastic statement...Did you notice the part about "Because our borders are protected" (Which they are not) and "we come down so hard on illegal immigrants" (which we do not)?
Here fixed it for you. H/T FOX 12... http://kptv.images.worldnow.com/images/20363452_SS.jpg
ICE hold or is he one of those that 0bama has allowed to stay?
Sept 16th, huh?
Relax, this is not "media hype" for what happened last friday. They arrested the "shooter" on dec. 16th
Â
That was yesterday for those wo "can't read", Â so...... news today
@pdxcakes Yeah, thanks for letting the public know about something that happened three months ago. Why bother KATU?
@Kachina  @pdxcakes Well...with the recent shootings....why not bring up another shooting (even if it was in Sept)...it's the media's way of keeping that tone alive.  An article that is really unnecessary.
@PD1202 @Kachina @pdxcakes Did they change the article or did all three of you fail the comprehension part of every test you ever took?
I used to go to that plaid pantry a lot when I was a kid. Glad to see the old nieghborhood is still the same.
@Riley35 It's my "Home Plaid". I try to avoid it after 10 PM.
