Beaverton police investigating Wednesday bank robbery

BEAVERTON, Ore. -- Police in Beaverton are investigating the robbery just before noon Wednesday in Beaverton.

At 11:32 a.m., Beaverton police responded to a bank robbery at the Bank of the West branch at 2921 SW Cedar Hills Boulevard, only to find the suspect had already fled. A search of the area was conducted, but police could not find the culprit.

A police investigation determined the man entered the bank armed with a handgun and was given an undisclosed amount of money before he fled.

The man was described as a white male adult, in his 40s or 50s with a medium build. He was last seen wearing a black beanie and an unknown article of clothing was covering the lower half of his face. He was also wearing a medium blue coat with matching pants.
