PORTLAND, Ore. – A bicyclist was seriously hurt Wednesday after being hit by a van in Southeast Portland.
It happened just before 4 p.m. on Division just east of 122nd.
The cyclist was taken to the hospital. He's expected to survive. The driver remained at the scene.
An on-duty Multnomah County Sheriff's Office deputy was at the crash site and was also taken to a hospital. It is unknown if or how those two incidents are connected.
Police say the driver wasn't under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
Both directions of Southeast Division Street were closed from 122nd to 124th.
