Bigfoot burglar: Size 16 shoes help lead to Wash. man's arrest
MONROE, Wash. (AP) — Monroe police say a man's big feet helped lead to his arrest in a burglary investigation.
The Daily Herald of Everett reports that officers responded to the burglary on Thursday morning and saw huge footprints in the frozen grass. They immediately thought of a man who'd been arrested in a car theft case just two days before: the 6-foot-9, 230-pound, size-16-shoed Ben Pickrell.
They say they drove around the area and saw Pickrell. He had a lot of Canadian coins in his pocket — which the homeowner reported had been stolen from his vehicle.
Pickrell was booked into Snohomish County Jail for investigation of first-degree burglary.
He's also is being held for investigation of possessing meth, possessing stolen property and vehicle theft. Bail was set Friday at a combined $125,000.
I would say, with the meth in his pocket, soon he will be 6- foot -9, wearig no.16 shoes and...weighting 125 pounds.
Sorry, no drafting after all.
Whoa that's big man. He should be on the Seattle Seahawks or Trail Blazers. Guess he is in wrong career of his choice now.
Had a lot of Canadian coins in his pocket, fella should consider a different profession.
Size 16 is considered bigfoot? My fiance wears an 18...
Act your shoe size not your age?
Size 16 shoes = clown feet
6' 9", size 16 shoes? Put a lil meat on him and place him on the offensive line for the Seattle Seahawks!
Â
How about the Sonics?
Hmmm... his height alone would kinda limit the models of vehicles he could steal... I mean, at 6-foot-9, there are a LOT of cars he couldn't even get INTO... Â (I remember my husband had that problem, and he was only 6-foot-4 tall...)
I bet he never steals a smart car.
@swimbad You are so right!  A truly smart car would drive itself away from this abomination, right?
@Gravity Works! @swimbad Good one!
The Snowshoe Bandit?
@Gravity Works! With shoes that size, he could also water ski without the actual ski's!
@Khre'Riov Ael i-Mhiessan t'Rllaillieu  @Gravity Works! That's the truth right there!  I wear a size 16.5 EEE shoe and I sure as heck don't need ski's to water ski! ;)
@Silver Surfer    @Gravity Works! Wow! You must be a tall guy!Â
