Blind cat rescued from SE Portland house fire

Firefighters on Tuesday morning rescued a blind cat from a Southeast Portland house during a quickly moving fire.
Firefighters were called to the house in the 4800 block of Southeast 84th Avenue just before 11 a.m. after a neighbor reported seeing smoke coming from the house.
Faced with fast-spreading flames, firefighters had to fight the blaze from outside the house.
Four engines and two trucks were dispatched to the scene.
No one was home at the time. Firefighters rescued the cat from one of the rooms, according to a news release from Portland Fire & Rescue.
Fire investigators determine the blaze originated in a back bedroom, but do not yet know the cause.
A damage estimate has not yet been determined.
No one was injured.
