PORTLAND, Ore. – Detectives are investigating a body found floating in the Willamette River near Portland’s Steel Bridge on Wednesday morning.
Someone spotted the body and called police around 8 a.m., according to Lt. Steve Alexander with the Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office. River Patrol deputies recovered the body just north of the bridge on the west side of the river.
Deputies turned the body over to the Multnomah County Medical Examiner’s Office.
No other information was immediately released.
