Bomb squad detonates device outside Seattle FBI office
SEATTLE -- Several streets in downtown Seattle near Third and Seneca were reopened after 5 a.m. Monday after a bomb squad destroyed a suspicious device an FBI office.
Federal security agents reported the device about 2:30 a.m. and the Seattle police bomb squad used a robot to destroy it with a controlled blast.
FBI spokeswoman Ayn Dietrich said the device turned out to be a flashlight with a red LED. There was nothing hazardous and she said the department did not recieve any threats related to the package.
The building is not marked as an FBI field office and there's no indication whether the device was left on the sidewalk accidentally or intentionally.

Besides blowing up flashlights, you can also read about an illegal covert operation they have been involved in over the last 11 years with a search for "New police weapon against homeless". Masters degree Harding University 1993
Whew! That was a close call! Those Cylon Flashlights can be DANGEROUS!
Give them guns and they'll find something to shoot.
Â
Give them remote controlled robots and they'll find something to blow up.
Â
Give them a job and they'll run the other way.
Â
Children.
It was probably a copy of the constitution which is why it looked suspicious to the FBI.
Dang it, I lost my flashlight somewhere in Seattle. Anyone find it yet?
More police state showboating, they gotta make you think youre in daaaangeeeer, cuz officer friendly will protect you(you just have to give up all your rights first)
Yet another obvious over-reaction to some piece of trash discarded by a drunk pedestrian overnight.

This operation likely cost $10,000 in wasted efforts and personnel not to mention the disruption to the city.
Flashlights are dangerous and hazardous to your health..
way to safely blow up that bag of human feces a bum left. Good job
It was my beloved yellow rubber ducky! I've been hunting high and low for it. How the heck did it get all the way up there to Seattle?!
