CORNELIUS, Ore. – A 6-year-old boy fell from a second-story window Monday while being baby sat, according to the Cornelius Fire Department.

Fire department spokesman Matt Johnson said the boy suffered serious injuries after falling about 12 to 15 feet and landing on concrete or a very hard gravel surface. He was at his boy’s babysitter’s house on North 20th Way.

He said the boy was playing hide and seek with other children when he pressed on the window screen and fell out of the window.

He said the call came in just before 5 p.m.

The boy was flown to the hospital to Legacy Emanuel Medical Center in Portland.
