PORTLAND, Ore. – Talk about butting in.

Two 9-week-old kids joined the Belmont goats on Saturday after spending two months apart from the herd while the mother got time to raise them in peace.

They joined just in time for a move – the herd is going to move to a new home in the Lents neighborhood soon.

“We originally weren't going to bring them back until we moved into Lents,” said caretaker Christopher Frankonis. “But it's been so long, we wanted to get them integrated back into the herd. We didn't want to wait until it was three or four month or whatnot.”

Nobody’s quite sure who the dad is, but that shouldn’t be a problem again – both billy goats in the herd have been neutered.
