Christmas Eve apartment fire disrupts bus service; no injuries
Firefighters responded to a report of a fire at NW 6th Avenue and NW Flanders Street around 6 o'clock Tuesday morning.

PORTLAND, Ore. -- People living at the Westwind Apartments at NW 6th and NW Flanders Street were forced outside by a fire around 6 a.m. Tuesday morning.

TriMet buses were rerouted from NW 6th Avenue for a half hour so fire trucks could access the building.
 
A KATU photographer at the scene reported seeing lots of smoke, but very little fire. There have been no reports of anyone injured.
