Tigard man home after wandering away from hospital

TIGARD, Ore. – A Tigard man returned home on Wednesday afternoon after getting disoriented and lost while on the way to the hospital on Tuesday night.
John Knorr, 51, was taken to St. Vincent Hospital by his mother at around 7:45 p.m. Deputies said he became separated from his mother and disappeared somewhere between the parking garage and the emergency room.
Knorr recently had a stroke and was acting strange when his mother drove him to the hospital, deputies said.
When a KATU reporter showed up on Wednesday afternoon to interview Knorr's mother, she said he had just returned home.
Bridget Biren said Knorr was in poor shape and that she was taking him to the hospital to be checked out.
She said her son apparently had wandered about six miles until he found someone he knew to drive him home.
His family had been worried that his medical condition caused his disappearance and that he was not dressed to be out in the elements overnight.
Sounds like he needs to be put in a funny farm.
Between the parking garage and the ER??  Did she drop him off at the curb or something while she parked? Â
It seems hard to go missing in such a short distance and I would assume such a short period of time.Â
Any way - I hope they find him and get him the medical attention he needs.Â
